General Part 2

Combine many types of writing in part 2.

In Ielts writing, we have 2 parts, we will expose expression or your decision and analising which is better harm or no harm such as:

Agree or disagree - showing your thought agree or disagree and tell explain why.

Advatages or Disadvatages - discuss both the benefits and drawbacks of a topic

Cause and Solution - idenfify the causes of proplem and suggest possible solutions

Problem and Solution - identify problems cause by issues and propose solutions.

Outweigh - decide whether the advantages outweigh disadvantages or vice versa

Discussion - present both sides of an agrument and give your opponion

Two-part question - Anwser two seperate but related questions within one essay


Common Structure for IELTS Writing Task 2 — Discussion/Opinion Essays

Introduction: Paraphrase the topic, then directly state your opinion or position.

Body 1 (Opposing view): Present the viewpoint you disagree with. For example, if you agree with the topic, this paragraph discusses the arguments against it.

Body 2 (Your view): Present your own position and explain why your view outweighs the opposing one.

Conclusion: Paraphrase the topic again, briefly summarize the key points from both body paragraphs, and restate your opinion.

Introduce:

Sentence 1 — Paraphrase the topic

It is argued that + [topic]

Many people believe that + [topic]

[Topic] has become a growing concern in recent years.

In recent years, + [topic] + has become increasingly + [adjective]

Sentence 2 — State your position or signal both sides

I believe that + [your view]

While [view A], I would argue that [view B]

This essay will examine both sides of this issue.

Although there are [benefits/drawbacks] to [topic], there are also [opposing points].


Common Structure for IELTS Writing Task 2 — Cause & Solution / Problem & Solution Essays

Introduction: Paraphrase the topic in your own words, then signal that the essay will explore the causes or problems and suggest solutions. Do not state a personal opinion.

Body 1 (Causes / Problems):

For Cause & Solution essays, explain the main reasons why the issue occurs.

For Problem & Solution essays, describe the key difficulties or negative consequences the issue creates. Support each point with a brief explanation or example. Never introduce solutions in this paragraph.

Body 2 (Solutions): Propose solutions that directly respond to the causes or problems raised in Body 1. Each solution should clearly connect to a point already made — do not introduce new issues here.

Conclusion: Paraphrase the topic again, briefly summarize the main causes or problems from Body 1 and the solutions from Body 2. Do not introduce any new ideas.



Agree or disagree

University education should be free for all students. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Individuals can do nothing to solve environmental problems. Only governments and large companies can make a real difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The increasing use of technology in the workplace has made people's lives more stressful, not less. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Parents are the best teachers for children. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Wealthy people should pay more taxes to support those who are less fortunate. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Those question about will ask us opponion which one do you prefer.

In this type we will consider object (phenominal) and give those benefit for drawbacks to make your idea strongly and persuite examiner.

the first one is introduce, we will pharapharse the topic and directly give your expression agree or disagree.

the second body1: showing 2 ideas (why you agree or disagree), using structure
